Twenty minutes by car from EuroParcs Hoge Kempen, Hasselt turns Kolonel Dusartplein into Winterland Hasselt, from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Entry is free, and this is already the eighteenth edition of one of Belgium’s best-known winter events. Winterland is known for its covered ice rink, the Ferris wheel with enclosed gondolas, the Austrian Almhütte and the Christmas market with dozens of chalets full of gifts and winter treats. For children there are Santa’s House and the carousel.
 

Practical: the square is within walking distance of Hasselt railway station, and by car you can park in one of the city-centre car parks. Combine your visit with a stroll through the city’s cosy shopping streets.
